About the Truth in Love Family of Ministries
Our Mission
"One-anothering" is at the heart of of all we do. We seek to minister to the whole person as we seek to love God, love one another, and love the world around us. We seek to be and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20) who live out their faith in real and tangible ways in the world around us. And, based upon the words of Isaiah 61:1-3, we want to “bring good news to the afflicted… to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to prisoners… [and] to comfort all who mourn." One way we seek to do this is by connecting people with effective and affordable Biblical counseling services.
Our family of ministries is diverse in many ways, yet we share a common mission: to be and help others become agents of God's grace and truth in the world. There are men and women from many denominational and doctrinal backgrounds God has brought together to minister and be ministered to at Truth in Love. We believe every person matters and every person is worthy of being treated with dignity and grace.

Our V
Our vision is to be a Christian fellowship where people from any background can come and find real life lived honestly and authentically. Whether you have never darkened the door of a church or have attended church your entire life, you are welcome here. Regardless of where you've been, what you've done, or what has happened to you, you are welcome here! What you see is what you get — no one here is flawless and no one pretends to be. We strive to be a fellowship full of people growing deeper in a relationship with Jesus and with one another every day.

Our Goal is to CARE:
Connect people of similar life experiences to diffuse and dispel the often-felt sense of hopelessness and need to isolate, creating outposts of relational support.
Attend to each person’s thoughts, needs, emotions, and concerns within an accepting and encouraging environment.
Restore mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional wellness as people heal and grow through their “one another” interactions.
Equip people with those resources essential to stimulate their own growth as well as inspire them to contribute to the growth of others.

Our Guiding Principles
These guiding principles help us turn our mission and vision into a reality. They help to keep us going in the right direction in all the different areas of our ministry here.
These guiding principles help us turn our mission and vision into a reality. They help to keep us going in the right direction in all the different areas of our ministry here.
- We will be a church fellowship where people from any background can find real life lived honestly and authentically.
- We will be a church that loves God, loves others, and loves the world around us without compromising the truth.
- The Bible is our primary and ultimate source of authority and instruction in all matters of faith and practice.
- Worship — beyond simply music and singing - and prayer will be our covering and at the heart of every activity
- We will be open to possibilities and not insult God with our small thinking and safe living.
- We will seek to impact those God puts in our path for His Kingdom in practical and personal ways.
- We will be spiritual givers and not spiritual takers.
- We won’t apologize for who we are, nor will we try to be who we are not.
- We love the Church (with a capital C).
- We will be honest and practice financial integrity.
- We value friendship.
- We will laugh a lot.
Our Leadership
Our model for leadership holds to the belief that all believers are called, gifted, and destined to be ministers in their own right.
We have a "colaborers" model of leadership which places the emphasis on a team of equals driven by mutuality of vision, shared goals in achieving that vision, and like investment in the mission of the fellowship for the purpose of making disciples and training up believers for the service God has called and gifted them.
Colaborers equip the congregation together. Alongside the Eldership Team are the Ministry Teams which have specific areas where they serve and allow themselves to be served. The heart of it all is "one-anothering."
Colaborer Ministry allows for creative flexibility in defining roles as needed, specifically tailored to best promote the vision and mission of the local fellowship, while capitalizing on each elder’s and each member's special strengths and abilities.
Everyone has equal value and importance, no matter their strengths or weaknesses. There are differing levels of responsibility, different areas of service, yet a confluence of community that creates an organic ebb and flow of one-anothering, centered in living out Christ's command in John 13:34-35.
The elders and other colaborers share big-picture leadership (vision, planning, general direction) while each person serves in specialized areas of ministry that help them thrive in their areas of gifting and talent. Some have advanced education and formal training in a variety of specific areas and have developed specialized ministry skills. These ministry specialties are assigned according to gifts, skills, passions, experience, and needs of the fellowship. Those called and equipped to teach share the teaching responsibilities, often co-teaching.
Our eldership team is comprised of a Spirit-led group of men who are mature in their faith, who are committed to praying for and holding one another accountable to the Biblical standards for the elders, and who are faithful students of God’s Word. Many of them also serve in other fellowships and ministries.
